UK passport.

Whether you're travelling to Britain or just passing through, you'll need to have a valid passport to enter the UK.

• How to apply for a full UK passport - from 12 October 2009

If you are in Ecuador and need to apply for a full UK passport, then you should apply direct to the "UK Passport Service Centre for the Americas and Caribbean": British Embassy, 19 Observatory Circle NW, Washington DC 2008, USA.


Visit Washington´s passport website on how to apply for a full validity passport.  

The British Embassy in Quito can no longer accept full UK passport applications.

• Got an urgent need to travel to the UK?

You can still apply in Ecuador for a UK Emergency Travel Document.  This is a restricted validity, one-way, travel document that can get you to the UK.  Please contact the British Embassy in Quito or the British Honorary  Consulate in Guayaquil for more details. 

 




New Passport issuing arrangements from 12 October 2009

UK passports for British nationals in Ecuador will be processed and printed in the UK Passport Service Centre in Washington DC. The British Embassy in Quito will only issue emergency travel documents.
