Matching words with actions

As a demonstration of how the British Embassy is committed to caring for  the environment, its staff will take part in a  "Green Day"  on Saturday 17 of October at Guápulo’s church plaza.

We will be joined by a group of children from a local school, as well as family members of our staff to collect rubbish in the surrounding area.

Our main objective is to transmit a clear message about “matching words with actions” so as to develop a deeper awareness about the need for all of us to take care of our precious and unique environment.

In addition, the children taking part in the day’s activities will participate in a practical workshop at the British Ambassador’s Residence where each of them will be taught how to plant a seed and how then to nurture the plant once they take it home.
