Emergency Contact Details
In the case of a real emergency involving a British citizen outside normal working hours, please contact the Duty Officer on:
+593 (0)92 029 944
The Consular team is here to do what it can to look after the interests of British Nationals (and some Commonwealth nationals not represented in Ecuador) visiting or living in Ecuador. This is one of our most important areas of work. There are limits to what we can do, explained in more detail in the "Support for British Nationals Abroad" leaflet.
The pages in this section explain how we can help, as well as provide some information on how you can register with us, either as a resident or as a visitor. We also give details on how to get married in Ecuador, how to register a birth or death, and how we can help British Nationals if things go wrong.
Other consular services that we provide are:
- Notarial Work
- List of Lawyers
- List of Translators
- How to access personal information (about yourself) held by the British police
- Guide to Consular Services
